What’s New for August 2009

This weekend was the 2nd anniversary of the opening of my brick and mortar studio/shop. It also marks a new beginning.
It has happened at last. I have had a 10X15 foot permanent booth in an antique mall for 2 years now. We opened 8/15/07. I have coveted the window booth since I first got the one I have, but it was a 10X10 foot booth with 5X10 being the window area. It left no room for me. I have been carefully campaigning for that booth to be combined with the next 10X10 booth and the partition removed. This week it happened. As of 9/1/09 I will have a 5X10 window with a 5X10 floor space. Giving me plenty of room for my displays, my studio etc. WHEEEEEE!!! And —- I negotiated this with only a $20 increase in rent.
The transformation takes place between 8/30 and 9/2 with opening on 9/3.
My 17 year-old granddaughter will be my window dresser. My 15 year-old granddaughter will set up my 8 foot glass display counter. We are all excited.
And I just had to brag. (grin)
